At one point after Pathaan’s release, the box office trends were so very brilliant that the film would rewrite every existing record in Indian cinema.
It was even estimated that Pathaan might set a new record in the USA by emerging as the highest grossing film of all time by beating the epic Baahubali 2 which grossed over $20 million at the USA box office.
Baahubali 2 had grossed over $20 million and with $14M+ in 2 2 weeks, Pathaan looked likely to run it close.
But Pathaan lost all the momentum now and is nowhere close to Baahubali. But in terms of footfalls, Pathaan is ahead of Baahubali 2. The high ticket pricing helped Baahubali 2 then.
