Wall Poster Cinema, known for its track record of delivering both critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, has announced a new project under its banner. Backed by Nani as the presenter, the film will star Priyadarshi in the lead role and marks the directorial debut of Ram Jagadeesh. Produced by Prashanti Tipirneni, the movie is intriguingly titled “COURT – State vs A Nobody.”
The title poster powerfully sets the tone for the film, depicting Lady Justice standing resolutely in the witness box, blindfolded and gripping a sword, while pigeons, representing peace, fly around her. This imagery creates a striking contrast that underscores the film’s exploration of justice and conflict.
The story centers on a legal battle where a boy is wrongfully accused, with Priyadarshi portraying the role of a lawyer fighting for justice.
The film was officially launched today with a grand pooja ceremony. During the muhurtham shot featuring Priyadarshi, Nani gave the clapboard, and producer Prashanti Tipirneni operated the camera. The first shot was directed by Gemini Kiran. The regular shooting schedule is set to begin in September.
The film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Sivaji, Sai Kumar, Rohini, Harshavardhan, Harsh Roshan, and Sri Devi, and is backed by a talented technical team. Dinesh Purushothaman will handle the cinematography, while Vijai Bulganin will compose the music, with Vithal Kosanam serving as the art director.
The screenplay was a collaborative effort between director Ram Jagadeesh, Karthikeya Sreenivass, and Vamsidhar Sirigiri.
