TFPC decision favours Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna

Tollywood Film Producers Council has issued an official statement pertaining to the coming situation regarding the Sankranthi 2023 theatrical releases and subsequent theater allocation.

The TFPC has clearly stated that straight Telugu films will have to be prioritised over Tamil or dubbed films next Sankranthi season.

This decision favours Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy which are releasing at the box office next Sankranthi festival season.

Dil Raju who had been locking substantially high number of theaters for his dubbed film, Varasudu might now have to track back on his move and allocate more theaters for Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy.

The TFPC also mentioned that Dil Raju himself previously stated dubbed films should be given least priority while there are multiple straight Telugu films. The TFPC quoted the same today.

This would mean that the Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna starrers should be given maximum number of theaters and Varasudu will have to settle for leftover ones.
