The makers of Samantha’s Shakuntalam have unveiled the theatrical trailer for the film a short while ago an it promises a richly presented whimsical of love from Mahabharata.
The trailer starts with the introduction of Samantha as Shakuntala, the heavenly beauty who faces several hardships in life. This epic love drama from the ultimate tale of Mahabharata is bought on to the cinema screen by the director Gunasekhar.
We see several VFX and CGI shots in the trailer and they pack a punch. Mani Sharma’s background score for the trailer is in tune with the narrative and elevates the same.
Through the course of the trailer, we see extensive CGI shots and this should offer a new experience to the viewers on the big screens.
Shakuntalam is set for theatrical debut in pan Indian languages on the 17th of February. This can be regarded as Samantha’s comeback film and it is certainly her costliest film with her playing the lead role.
