Raayan, directed by Dhanush, has become Kollywood’s second-highest-grossing film of 2024, amassing around Rs.150 crores. This marks Dhanush’s second outing as a director after his critically praised debut Pa Paandi. His next directorial venture, NEEK (Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam), is all set for its theatrical release.
The latest buzz in Kollywood circles hints that Dhanush may return to directing once again, this time with Arun Vijay in the lead. Reports suggest that Dhanush is in advanced talks with Arun Vijay, and if all goes well, an official announcement could be made soon.
There are also rumors that Dhanush himself might take on a significant role in the film. Meanwhile, Arun Vijay is occupied with Bala’s Vanangaan, which is slated for release soon. If this collaboration materializes, it could mark a major turning point in Arun Vijay’s career. On the other hand, Dhanush will next be seen in Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera.
