Review: HIT 2 : Decent Thriller

HIT: Second Case hit the theaters today amidst high anticipation. The film is promoted as a mystery thriller. Let’s see what it has to offer.

Story: KD(Adivi Sesh) is a careless cop who doesn’t take his job seriously. But the gruesome murder of a lady in his jurisdiction sends ripped down his spine. Who is the murderer? Can KD track him down?

Analysis:

Firstly, Adivi Sesh is tailor made for these kind of roles. He is at his usual best in a cop role. He has the right etiquette to play the same. His portrayal is on point. The likes of Meenakshi Chaudhary, Komalee Prasad, Rao Ramesh and others ably support him.

The case in the second part is much bigger and more gruesome than the first one. Several women are murdered and their body parts are stitched into one. The case, in Itself is spine chilling.

The real deal here obviously is the investigation part. This is where the director’s vision comes to play. He has handles the tracking down part moderately well. There aren’t too many highs in the screenplay and at the same time, there aren’t many boring sequences either.

The film progresses pretty much at a standard pace all through the course of the film. The climax is a mixed bag. There’s some drama and a hint of suspense but it might seem a bit underwhelming for a few.

But as a whole, HIT 2 is a satisfactory package for those who love mystery thrillers. There’s an element of suspense and mystery for most parts which should keep a section of audience hooked.

Analysis: HIT 2 will cater to a thriller genre lovers. The climax is a mixed bag. But as a whole, the film makes for a satisfactory watch.
