Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram gets a different title in other languages

Nani’s upcoming pan-Indian film with director Vivek Athreya marks their second collaboration after the success of “Ante Sundaraniki.” The movie is generating buzz not just for its reunion but also for its music. The Telugu song “Garam Garam” was a big hit, and today the makers are releasing the song in other Indian languages.

Here’s an interesting twist: the film’s title changes depending on the language! In the Telugu version, it’s called “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” but for Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada audiences, the title translates to “Surya’s Saturday.” This reflects Nani’s character, Surya, who is known for being particularly energetic (or perhaps aggressive) on Saturdays.

Priyanka Mohan joins Nani as the female lead. The film is produced by DVV Entertainment, the powerhouse behind the global phenomenon “RRR.” “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” (or “Surya’s Saturday” depending on your location) is set to hit theaters on August 29th, 2024, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy.
