I will do my best to contribute to the development of Telugu cinema : Vijay Deverakonda

Sensational hero Vijay Deverakonda stated that he will contribute to the growth of Telugu cinema by taking part in content-driven films. He made these remarks while appearing as a guest on the ‘What India Thinks Today’ program organized by TV9 in Delhi. During the program, Vijay spoke about his success as a hero, the global recognition he has received, the impact of Tollywood in the Pan-India trend, and details about his upcoming movie “Kingdom.”

Vijay Deverakonda shared, “Receiving global recognition as a hero and the immense love from fans is an indescribable joy. Though there are many talented individuals, such opportunities are rare. We may not have a successful film every time, but I’m fortunate to have fans who support me in every situation. The feeling I experienced after becoming a star was one of relief – the satisfaction that comes with achieving a goal. Today, with advanced technology, the world has become smaller. We watch K-dramas and enjoy Korean music like BTS. So, it’s not surprising that the North audience admires South cinema. Success and trends follow cycles, and right now, Tollywood is at the forefront. However, another industry might lead tomorrow. We have talented directors, and I’m eager to work with all of them. Directors like Nag Ashwin, Tharun Bhascker, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga made their debut films with me, and their contributions have been vital to my journey. When SS Rajamouli garu made Baahubali, it was a big risk. We didn’t know the outcome, but he took the risk. Every industry must go through such struggles to create a trend. The teaser of my new film Kingdom has received a tremendous response. The voices of Tarak (NTR) Anna in Telugu, Suriya in Tamil, and Ranbir Kapoor in Hindi helped amplify the teaser’s impact and reach the audience more effectively. I want to share new stories with the audience, and I am doing my best to contribute to the success of Tollywood.”
