Harish Shankar : “I don’t believe people change after watching movies”

Mass Raja Ravi Teja’s film ‘Mr. Bachchan’ is just hours away from hitting theaters. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film has been crafted as a full-on mass masala action entertainer, and fans are confident it will be a box-office hit. As part of the film’s promotions, director Harish Shankar spoke to the media.

During the interaction, he made some interesting remarks. He stated that he doesn’t believe people change after watching movies. If that were the case, everyone who watched the film ‘Gandhi’ would have become Mahatma Gandhis. Similarly, after watching ‘Pushpa,’ software employees didn’t head to the Tirupati forests to engage in smuggling. According to Harish, the impact of a movie on people lasts only for a few hours. He emphasized that, in his view, the primary purpose of a film is simply to entertain.

Recently, there was a buzz on social media that AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan indirectly took a dig at the film ‘Pushpa.’ Now, fans believe that Harish Shankar is also indirectly refuting those comments. Regardless, Harish stood by his opinion that people watch movies purely for entertainment.
