The movie “Ghatikachalam,” starring Nikhil Devadula, is produced by M.C. Raju under the Oasis Entertainment banner, with the story provided by Raju himself. Directed by Amar Kamepalli, “Ghatikachalam” is shaping up to be an intense suspense thriller, soon set to hit theaters. Successful producer SKN and star director Maruthi recently announced they would be releasing the film worldwide. Today, makers launched the teaser in a grand launch event.
During the event, writer Srinivas expressed gratitude to the media for their support, stating, “I’m thrilled that director Maruthi and producer SKN are involved in the release. This film has a strong story and will surely resonate with audiences. We hope everyone supports our movie.”
Actor Rangadam shared his experience, saying, “Initially, I thought I was being cast for a small role, but my character turned out to be wonderful. Thanks to Maruthi Garu and SKN Garu, our film has become a major project.”
Director Mallikarjun remarked, “Ghatikachalam is a content-driven film. Amar is a friend, and I felt great when he shared the story with me. He has executed it beautifully. When I learned that Maruthi Garu and SKN Garu were releasing it, I was overjoyed.”
Artist Devi added, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Oasis Entertainment. Regardless of a film’s size, good content is what matters. Even though it’s a horror movie, it’s designed to be enjoyable for both kids and adults.”
Heroine Arvika Gupta thanked the audience for their support, saying, “I may not be fluent in Telugu, but I believe ‘Ghatikachalam’ will impress you all.”
ETV Prabhakar, who plays the father in the film, shared, “I am excited about my role, which I’ve been looking forward to. The emotional bond between father and son has been beautifully portrayed. With SKN and Maruthi involved, it’s clear that this film has excellent content. I believe Nikhil will achieve great success with this movie.”
Director Amar Kamepalli shared that the concept for “Ghatikachalam” came from his friend Raju, who is currently in the U.S. Raju recounted some incidents that occurred in a house belonging to someone they knew, which intrigued Amar. The film follows a 19-year-old medical student, and Raju suggested they create the movie together. Thus, “Ghatikachalam” was born. This is a unique concept inspired by real events.
Amar expressed his gratitude to Raju and mentioned how he managed to find skilled technicians within their budget, assembling a strong team. “I wasn’t sure what to do after making this film,” he admitted. “I showed the trailer to Maruti, who liked it and asked to see the movie. He also enjoyed it and suggested some minor changes. SKN also liked it and recommended crucial modifications. I made the adjustments they suggested, and now the film is in post-production. I’m indebted to SKN and Maruthi for supporting our movie.”
Writer Darling Swamy, a longtime friend of Amar’s, said, “After seeing the trailer for ‘Ghatikachalam,’ Maruti decided to give Amar a chance to direct. Following a screening, SKN and Maruthi came forward to support its release. I hope this film becomes a hit and brings recognition to both Amar and Nikhil.”
Hero Nikhil Devadula commented, “I believe my performance reflects the intense narrative Amar has crafted. The story revolves around a teenage boy and his father, filled with many twists that will captivate the audience. I’m grateful to SKN and Maruthi for their support; bringing quality content to audiences is increasingly challenging, and they stepped up during this crucial time. With 15 years of experience and 60 to 70 films under my belt, I hope ‘Ghatikachalam’ is a significant success.”
Producer and distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni remarked, “You can’t predict what will happen while watching ‘Ghatikachalam.’ It surpasses your imagination. As I participate in this event, I still recall scenes from the film. I’m excited that Maruthi and SKN are releasing such a remarkable movie.”
Producer SKN noted that Maruthi was busy with another project and couldn’t attend the event. “Small films are crucial in the industry; they feed theaters. However, they often lack proper promotion and reach. Maruthi, Dheeraj, and I felt it was essential to support such films. After watching ‘Ghatikachalam,’ I was impressed by its technical quality, which exceeded its budget. Director Amar has crafted this film with the experience of a seasoned director. I love horror movies, and this film delivers all the emotions one expects from the genre. Nikhil’s performance is bound to impress. My advice to him is to immerse himself fully in every character he portrays. We’ll announce the release date of ‘Ghatikachalam’ soon, and we’re also working on a Hindi version of ‘Baby’ along with other projects.”
