Annapurna Photo Studio stars Chaitanya Rao and Lavanya, the film also featured Mihira, Uttara, Vaiva Raghava, Lalit Aditya in key roles. Annapurna Photo Studio is releasing on July 21st in theatres. The teaser and trailer for the film which was recently released, captivating audiences with its funny and intriguing storyline. The film is produced by Yash Rangineni under the banner of Big Ben Cinemas and directed by Chendu Muddu.
Today director Chendu Muddu interacted with media about the film. He said “My name is Chendu Muddu So far I have done a movie called O Pitta Katha. Now I made a movie titled ‘Annapurna Photo Studio’. The film stars Chaitanya Rao, Lavanya, Mihira, Uttara and other newcomers. Producer Yash Rangineni also played an important role in this movie.”
I wanted to tell a pure love story. That’s why I took the story in the background of 80s. That doesn’t mean there aren’t pure love stories anymore. But the characters in my film are very pure and innocent. Now technology has changed the way of expressing love. That’s why I wanted to take it to the old times and tell the story. 80’s background made the movie special.
The only common point between O Pitta Katha and Annapurna Photo Studio is rural back drop. And in this movie, we have worked very hard to recreate the 80’s style. A disclaimer has given in advance to the audience to apologize for any small mistakes.
The audience don’t mind the period in which the story is set. ‘Sita Ramam’ was set in the 1960s. Finalizing the right locations was the biggest challenge. We shot the movie in the Godavari districts and also in Kerala. While we had budget limits keeping in view the non-star cast, the producer was fully supportive. I feel fortunate that I found such a producer
Chaitanya Rao approached me and gave me an audition for another film. But I told the story of this movie and he has a vintage look. He also said ok. The name of the hero’s mother in this movie is Annapurnamma. That’s why the hero starts a business with Annapurna Photo Studio. That photo studio also has a main role in this movie. That’s why we named the movie the same.
I made that film as I thought. Even though I was a new director, Yash Rangineni supported me a lot. He stood by me like a big brother. He is very supportive of the film. Despite knowing that the budget was high, two songs were sung by with SPB Charan garu.
This is a family movie and it will be clean and entertaining. There will be no bold scenes anywhere. It’s like laughing comfortably for two hours.
I hired Prince Henry, who scored the background score for O Pitta Katha, as the music director for this film. He gave wonderful songs. A lot of people are also talking about Pankaj Thottada’s visuals.
Producer Yash Rangineni garu did a key role in the film. I felt that he would be set for that character. Yash Rangineni’s character will be remembered as much as the hero’s character.
We made this film very honestly. Everyone should encourage new people.
