Dhruva Vaayu, who gained recognition with Kerosene, is not only directing the upcoming film Kalinga but also playing the lead role. The film, produced by Deepthi Kondaveeti and Pruthvi Yadav under the Big Hit Productions banner, has already created a lot of excitement with its teasers, posters, and songs that have caught the audience’s attention. A pre-release event for Kalinga, which is set to hit theaters on September 13, was held recently, with BJP MP Raghunandan Rao as the chief guest.
Speaking at the event, Raghunandan Rao highlighted the cultural importance of films, stating, “No matter how busy one may be, films offer a respite from daily life. Post-pandemic, we’ve seen a shift toward OTT platforms, but the Telugu industry has been thriving with experimental films, and many smaller projects are becoming huge hits. I believe Kalinga has the same potential, and I wish Dhruva and the entire team great success.”
Dhruva Vaayu, in his speech, thanked the team and guests, saying, “It’s been an incredible journey making this film. From writing the script to the final product, every team member has given their best. The visuals, dialogues, and music all come together beautifully. The film has a unique concept, and I’m excited for everyone to experience it when it releases on September 13.”
Thiruveer, who was also in attendance, praised Dhruva’s versatility, saying, “It’s not easy to direct, write, and act, but Dhruva has pulled it off brilliantly. The teaser was gripping, and I have high hopes for the film’s success.”
Producer Deepthi Kondaveeti added, “The team has worked hard, and the film looks fantastic. The music and visuals have been receiving great feedback, and I believe the movie will create magic in theaters.”
Pruthvi Yadav, another producer, also spoke highly of the film’s quality, urging audiences to watch it when it releases, while Pragya Nayan and other cast members shared their excitement about being part of such a promising project.
