In what could be considered a big boost to Tollywood’s Sankranthi releases – Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, the government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana could be permitting ticket price hikes for the same.
In Telangana, there’s already the proposal to go for Rs 175 at single screens and Rs 295 at plexes for the two films.
And now, the Andhra Pradesh government is also well on course to permit special ticket price hikes for the Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna starrers. There could be a Rs 30 hike at single screens and Rs 50 hike at plexes. The final rate could be out soon after the permissions are granted.
These two biggies will now have the high ticket prices advantage and it could help them register a solid opening weekend at the box offices across the Telugu states.
