1st Weekend Collections: Balayya Touches 70, Chiru At 100

The new Sankranthi releases – Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya have gone a pretty good run at the domestic and as well as the USA box office. Both films have reached the breakeven mark and have started to reap profits for everyone involved.

The theatrical share of Veera Simha Reddy is at Rs 70 crores which is the career best tally for Nandamuri Balakrishna. It has broken Akhanda’s lifetime collections in just 8 days and is looking to add to the tally now.

Then comes the Chiru starrer – Waltair Veerayya which has made over Rs 96 crores share in the first week. The film is ever so close to the sensational Rs 100 crores mark and it is holding very well even now.

This way, both the Sankranthi films have held their ground at the box office and have returned very good revenues in the domestic and also the USA market.

Both films have now started to reap profits to the buyers and they’re expected to pull up substantial profits to the distributors.
